Pru is an innocent eighteen year old girl that has been sheltered all her brief life. She finds herself amid the horrors of war at a battlefield searching for her brother or his corpse. Terror surrounds her and she screams in fear as the night captures her and suddenly two arms surround her and protect her from the dark. Her protector is not all he seems to be as he was just bitten by a vampire.
Strange forces surround Pru and her fate leads her home.
Later Pru finds herself in a haunted castle amid ghost and demons. Her protector has followed her and is almost overcome with his vampire self until another protector comes on the scene.
